Wayne Thring, ACDP Parliamentary Leader’s Question to Mr. Jacob Zuma, the President Of South Africa @ waynethring

Honorable President

In the light of the visit of President Francois Hollande, and the introduction of the National Development Plan as an umbrella plan to address the challenges of the terrible triplets of poverty, unemployment and inequality in South Africa, and noting that it is unlikely that we will reduce poverty by 50 percent in 2015, that unemployment at almost 25 percent is still unacceptably high, and our Gini coefficient of some 0.7 is amoung the highest in the world, What is your or governments plan to
1. rid SA of these challenges and
2. Curtail labour market rigidity so as to increase SA’s competitiveness not only in France, but also in the global market.
